Who is affected: people whose property was damaged or destroyed in the course of Russian aggression and the Ministry for the Development of Communities, Territories, and Infrastructure.
Summary:
- the limits are set for the area of destroyed housing for which compensation is allocated:
- up to 150 m² for an apartment
- up to 200 m² for a cottage-type, garden, or summer house
- the compensation payment procedure for such houses is defined:
- 50% of the compensation will be paid after approval by the authorized body of the commission’s decision to grant payments
- the remaining 50% will be paid after the recipient presents to the commission evidence of an intermediate stage of construction and the commission verifies it
- it is required to buy construction materials within 18 months after the first compensation payment is credited
- the compensation recipient must notify a social protection body or a notary about the completion of construction within 30 working days via Dіia or an administrative services center
- to confirm the proper use of funds, constructions will be checked after completion. At least 10% of all completed constructions must be verified
- if a person received a second payment and did not report on the completion of construction within 18 months, the verification will be required. It will be conducted within a month from the deadline for submitting a report
- it is allowed to submit a single application for funding to purchase housing even if there are multiple housing certificates
- it is allowed to buy products for heating and water heating under the e-Recovery program.
What is right:
- the procedure for providing compensation for war-damaged and destroyed housing has been improved.
