Summary:
The President did not agree with the proposals of MPs to dismiss employees who violated the labor regulations without reporting their ties to individuals whose place of permanent residence (stay, registration) is in the territory of the aggressor state or in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine. He proposed to exclude these provisions from the text of the law.
What is right: the exclusion of this provision eliminates legal uncertainty regarding the concept of “relations with individuals”, which can be interpreted arbitrarily.
Background information: On April 25, 2024, the Verkhovna Rada adopted a bill introducing new grounds for dismissal.
