Cabinet resolution #7 of January 5, 2024

Status: in effect since January 5, 2024

Who is affected: internally displaced persons and local governments

Summary:

  • specifies the procedure for organization of temporary housing funds for internally displaced persons
  • housing from a housing fund is not provided if the displaced person or any member of their family owns habitable housing, its size is not less than 13.65 m² per person, and it is located in areas not included in the list of the occupied territories or active (formerly active) combat zones
  • priority criteria for providing temporary housing are specified. Preferentially the housing will be provided to:
    • internally displaced families of service members that participated in combat
    • IDPs who have suffered repeated displacement due to the large-scale invasion
    • families that include pregnant women
    • persons who have lost their ability to work, pensioners.

What is right:

  • the resolution optimized the procedure for organization of temporary housing funds for internally displaced persons so that those who need the housing most get it.
