Who is affected: convicts, private entrepreneurs, legal entities, the State Criminal-Executive Service of Ukraine, and correctional centers
Summary:
- not only those sentenced to imprisonment but also those sentenced to other restrictions on liberty will have the right to work under a term employment or civil law contract and receive remuneration
- a private entrepreneur or legal entity that has entered into a contract with a convict will pay 25% of the convict’s actual wages to the correctional center
- it will be allowed for convicts to work at a correctional center under an employment contract if they want to.
What is right:
- convicts will have the opportunity to work under an employment contract with third parties
- convicts will have the opportunity to work at correctional centers.
