Summary:
- the resolution suspended the allocation of funds collected via the UNITED24 charity platform for military units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Previously, this money was allocated for the urgent needs of the military units
- the funds already transferred but not yet used by the military units will be allowed to be used for purchasing weapons, special and military equipment, and drones or their spare parts. Also, these funds can be used for procurement of medical supplies and equipment and personal protective equipment
- military units will report on the use of these funds to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
What is right:
funds collected via the UNITED24 charity platform will be used by the Ministry of Defense in a more centralized and efficient way.
What is wrong:
military units will have fewer options to independently identify and meet their priority needs.
