Who is affected: enterprises critically important for the economy and the defense sector, their managers and employees, and the Ministry of Strategic Industries of Ukraine
Summary:
- regardless of their military rank, age, or military accounting specialty, persons subject to military service who are heads, deputy heads, and employees of enterprises, institutions, and organizations involved in the development, manufacture, repair, modernization, or disposal of weapons, military and special equipment, ammunition, or their components have the right to deferment. Such enterprises, institutions, and organizations have to be designated as critically important for the economy and the defense sector during a special period by the Ministry of Strategic Industries
- no limit is set on the number of persons subject to military service that these enterprises can request to defer.
What is right: the defense capabilities of the state will be strengthened because employees of defense enterprises will not be mobilized.
