Who is affected: the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine 

Summary: 

  • the list of grounds for the imposition of sanctions by Ukraine will be extended: Ukraine will consider imposing sanctions if the same decision is made by authorized bodies of Great Britain, US, Canada, or Japan 
  • the bill proposes a mechanism for synchronizing the imposition of sanctions by Ukraine and international partners. If the EU Council or authorized bodies of Great Britain, USA, Canada, or Japan impose, change, or lift sanctions against the aggressor state or its citizens or legal entities, then the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine will propose similar changes to the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine. The NSDC will have to consider and decide on the issue within three days. 

What is right: the imposition of sanctions will be synchronized with international partners.
