Who is affected: government bodies of Ukraine, high-ranking representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church 

Summary of the decree: 

• imposes sanctions against 22 high-ranking representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church who support the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine 
• persons under sanctions cannot use their assets, conduct trading operations, or conclude any agreements under the jurisdiction of Ukraine. Also, they are banned from entering the territory of Ukraine. 

What is right: 

• Russia uses religion as one of the means of aggression against Ukraine in cultural and spiritual aspects. Also, it uses religion to justify its armed aggression. Sanctions against the high-ups of the Russian Church will contribute to the protection of Ukrainian national interests against the enemy’s influence.
