Who is affected: Russia, its citizens, and its legal entities  

Summary of the bill:  

  • it will be prohibited for Russian citizens, legal entities, and the Russian state to own or use land, forests, water objects, and mineral resources of Ukraine  
  • Russian citizens, legal entities, and the Russian state will be obliged to alienate their rights to own or use land, forests, water objects, or mineral resources of Ukraine no later than three months after the bill comes into effect. They can sell, donate, or transfer their property in any other way 
  • if they do not fulfill this obligation within three months, Ukraine will deprive them of the property in question in court. 

What is right:  the bill is in line with the national interest of Ukraine, in particular, it contributes to eliminating any direct or indirect economic influence of Russia on Ukraine.
