Who is affected: service members, persons subject to military service, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, other military units, and law enforcement agencies
Summary of the bill:
- the list of grounds for dismissal from military service of service members will be extended and will apply to the following persons:
- persons conscripted in the course of the general mobilization during a special period
- persons conscripted as reservists during a special period
- persons conscripted to military service under contract
- a person conscripted to military service may be dismissed if their close relatives (husband, wife, son, daughter, father, mother, grandfather, grandmother, brother, or sister) died or are recognized missing while trying to ensure national security and defense, repel and restrain the armed aggression of the Russian Federation:
- in Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts
- in the course of ensuring national security and defense, repelling and restraining the armed aggression against Ukraine while martial law is declared
What is right: it is proper and just that persons whose close relatives have died or gone missing will not be subject to military service in the course of the general mobilization.
