Summary: considering the military situation, the cosponsors of the bill propose to update regulations concerning AFU-owned lands (lands owned by the Armed Forces or other military units) that are leased for agricultural purposes:
- to reduce the maximum lease term of AFU-owned lands from 50 to 3 years
- to prohibit the leasing of AFU-owned lands to foreign countries, individuals, and organizations
- to prohibit the lessee of AFU-owned lands from subleasing.
What is right:
- clear regulations will be introduced regarding the lease of AFU-owned lands for agriculture
- the state will get additional funding to meet the needs of the army from the lease of the AFU-owned lands.
