Summary:
- the general mobilization in Ukraine will be extended by 90 days: from February 8, 2025, until May 9, 2025
- martial law will be extended by 90 days: from February 8, 2025, until May 9, 2025
- the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will be ordered to inform the UN Secretary-General and other foreign officials about the extension of martial law in Ukraine and the corresponding restrictions on civil and human rights and freedoms that constitute a temporary deviation from Ukraine’s obligations under the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights.
What is right:
- military units and law enforcement agencies will be able to engage new recruits under the general mobilization procedure to repel the armed aggression of Russia
- the bill makes it possible to maintain the governance of the state and strengthen security measures in the face of the full-fledged invasion by Russia.
