Summary of the resolution: 

  • an experimental infrastructure project will be launched to construct arterial water pipelines Karachunivske Reservoir — Kryvyi Rih — Pivdenne Reservoir, Marganets — Nikopol, Khortytsia (DVS2) — Tomakivka 
  • the project is supposed to be implemented within the next two years 
  • to implement the project, ₴1.5 billion will be allocated from the Fund for liquidating consequences of the armed aggression to the State Agency for Infrastructure Restoration and Development. 

What is right: 

  • the Cabinet promptly responds to the humanitarian crisis in Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia oblasts after Russia destroyed the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Station 
  • the resolution will ensure relatively fast provision of drinking water to the people affected by the destruction of the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Station.
