Who is affected: persons whose property was destroyed or damaged due to the Russian aggression and the Ministry for Communities, Territories, and Infrastructure Development
Summary: priority right to receive compensation for destroyed housing will be granted to internally displaced persons who:
- have reached retirement age
- take care of a child under the age of six
- take care of two minors
- take care of a child with a disability
- raise a child under 14 without a spouse
- have a group III disability
What is right: better social security for internally displaced persons
Background information: on March 17, 2023, the President of Ukraine signed a law on compensation for damaged and destroyed housing. We described the shortcomings of this law here. On May 10, the procedure for providing compensation for damaged housing under the e-Recovery program started.
