Who is affected: service members on duty outside Ukraine
Summary: provisions of the law on the social and legal status of service members will also apply to:
- service members of the intelligence agency of the State Border Guard Service, the State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine, serving in the territory of Ukraine
- service members of the AFU, other military units, and law enforcement agencies of special operations, SSU, Foreign Intelligence Service, Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense — Ukrainian citizens performing military duty outside Ukraine, including in the territory of the aggressor state. The law will also apply to their family members.
What is right: the bill grants better social and legal security for service members, ensuring that Ukrainian soldiers fighting in the Russian Federation, particularly in the Kursk oblast, will receive the same benefits and preferences as those on the frontlines in Ukraine.
