Summary: the Verkhovna Rada will call on foreign states and international organizations to:
- condemn the organization of the Russian “election” in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine
- oppose the involvement of international observers in the “election”
- increase sanctions against Russia and apply personal sanctions against individuals responsible for organizing and conducting the “election”
- consolidate efforts to assist the Armed Forces of Ukraine
- support the peace formula of the President of Ukraine and participate in the founding Global Peace Summit.
What is right:
- the appeal will be the appropriate political response to the organization of the so-called Russian presidential “election” in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine
- the appeal could help to put more sanction pressure against Russia and increase international assistance to Ukraine.
