Laws signed by Volodymyr Zelensky in September are predominantly about economic issues, so we will focus on important Cabinet decisions regarding the reformatting of ministries and the automatic acquisition of combat veteran status. Among the laws signed by the President, we will take a closer look at the law on creating of the Unmanned Systems Forces. We will also demonstrate how poor quality of legislation affects lives of Ukrainian citizens.

Unmanned Systems Forces

A new separate branch of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Unmanned Systems Forces, will be created. The corresponding law was recently signed by President Volodymyr Zelensky. It entails the establishment of new designated positions for drone operators, scaling up drone production, and training personnel to manage unmanned aerial vehicles more efficiently. The decision is undoubtedly important and useful. However, the process of its approval vividly demonstrates the “scoliosis” in the power system, which negatively affects the battlefield as well.
