However, since 1991, liability for drunk driving has increased tenfold. The last time the fines were increased was in February 2021. It has not brought the desired results.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335551550&quot;:6,&quot;335551620&quot;:6,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">Alternative solution<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"none\">: <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">stricter penalties is not the only and not very effective way to prevent DUI offenses. We should think not that much about stricter punishment, but about how to make penalties more efficient so that every offender is held responsible.
