Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><b>What is wrong:<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<li>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">it is unjustified and excessive to ban all founders and members of the political parties in question. None of these parties declared in their charter that their goal is to challenge the territorial integrity of Ukraine or the Ukrainian constitutional order. If the bill is passed, it could be challenged in court on the same grounds as <\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><u><a style=\"color: #800000;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.slovoidilo.ua\/2020\/03\/04\/infografika\/polityka\/lyustracziya-pyat-rokiv-potomu-skilky-lyudej-potrapyly-diyu-zakonu\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">lustrated civil servants<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/u><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"> challenged restrictions on their rights<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">it is unjustified to punish party members that have not committed any crimes. If the bill is passed, it will ban from politics <\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><u><a style=\"color: #800000;\" href=\"https:\/\/voxukraine.org\/partiyni-viragi-poroshenka\/\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Petro Poroshenko<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/u><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"> (the founder of the Party of Regions) and <\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><u><a style=\"color: #800000;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.radiosvoboda.org\/a\/948213.html\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Yurii Lutsenko<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/u><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"> (member of the Socialist Party of Ukraine in 1996-2006), for example<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">it is unclear what the bill means by \u201ca party member.\u201d If this definition means current and former members of the listed parties, then it violates the rights of those who were forcefully enlisted. For example, <\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><u><a style=\"color: #800000;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.radiosvoboda.org\/a\/16797605.html\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">the Party of Regions<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/u><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"> had over <\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><u><a style=\"color: #800000;\" href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20140227152615\/http:\/partyofregions.ua\/ua\/regions\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">1.4\u00a0mln members in 2013<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/u><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">. If only current members are supposed to be banned from running for office, it will be easy for them to terminate their membership in the listed parties.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\" align=\"justify\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><b>Alternative solution: <\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">criminals that collaborated with the enemy and committed treason have to be held accountable. There are articles in the Criminal Code that allow investigative bodies and the judicial system to deal with them. The majority of MPs lack the necessary knowledge and skills to be of any use to the territorial defense forces. Military matters should be handled by military bodies.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">participation of MPs in the work of territorial defense can result in conflicts between the member of the parliament and service members. Some MPs can interfere with the work of service members <\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><u><a style=\"color: #800000;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=KHjDGM6NXzA&amp;t=1s&amp;ab_channel=%D0%A2%D0%A1%D0%9D\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">for political reasons<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/u><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">.
