individuals who act against the state. Thus, there could be issues with the confiscation of property from individuals accused of corruption crimes.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335551550&quot;:6,&quot;335551620&quot;:6}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">Background information: <\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"none\">on October 29, 2024, the Verkhovna Rada adopted a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/itd.rada.gov.ua\/BILLINFO\/Bills\/Card\/44890\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">law<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"none\"> allowing individuals accused of corruption to receive a shorter prison sentence if they cooperate with the investigation by exposing accomplices and compensating for damages. In such cases, the court may confiscate the property of the person if this type of penalty is agreed upon.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335551550&quot;:6,&quot;335551620&quot;:6}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">On November 20, 2024, the President signed the law allowing to deprive of state awards persons who have committed illegal actions against Ukraine.
