Prosecutors\u2019 pensions are significantly higher than pensions of other citizens. In other words, former employees of the prosecution can get pensions several times higher than most other retirees. This amounts to monthly payments of around UAH 100,000, while the average pension in Ukraine is about UAH 5,000.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335551550&quot;:6,&quot;335551620&quot;:6}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Significant public outrage has also been caused by the fact that some prosecutors received pensions based on forged medical documents. On October 22, 2024, a presidential decree came into effect, implementing the decision of the National Security and Defense Council to combat corruption and other violations related to designation of disability status for officials.
